Typhoon Kalmegi in the Philippines: Death toll rises to 114

The death toll from the powerful Typhoon Kalmegi in the Philippines has risen to 114. At least 114 people have died so far. Another 127 are missing. The UK-based media outlet BBC reported this information in a report on Thursday (November 6). The cyclone, which was blowing winds of about 150 kilometers per hour, hit the central part of the country on Tuesday (November 4). Due to which heavy rains and flooding conditions were created.
The province of Cebu was the worst affected by the typhoon. 71 people have been reported dead in this region. Most of them drowned. 65 people are still missing in the province. Another 62 are missing from the neighboring Negros Occidental province. The typhoon is approaching after wreaking havoc in the Philippines. The cyclone is expected to strengthen before it hits. Vietnam and China have made advance preparations to deal with the disaster.
