Two French tourists killed in avalanche in Italy
At least two French tourists have been killed in an avalanche in Courmayeur, Italy. A large avalanche hit a mountain valley on Sunday morning (February 15). Two died on the spot after being buried under the snow. Local authorities launched a rescue operation immediately after the incident.
Authorities said another person was admitted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Fifteen fire service personnel have been deployed to rescue the victims. In addition, two doctors, three search dogs, two helicopters and two ambulances have been deployed to the scene.
