Two die after losing control of motorcycle in Feni
Two people, including the driver, died after a motorcycle lost control and hit a road divider in Daganbhuiyan, Feni. Another person was injured in the incident. The accident occurred at Mollaghata on the Feni-Daganbhuiyan road at around 11pm on Sunday (March 15).
The deceased are motorcycle rider Nazmul Hasan (25), son of Nezam Uddin of Barwani Elahiganj village in Feni Sadar upazila, and pedestrian Habizur Rahman (45), son of Shawkat Ali of Dakshin Sreepur village under Sundarganj police station in Gaibandha. The injured motorcycle rider Mehedi Hasan has been treated at a local hospital.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Daganbhuiyan police station Md. Fazle Rabbi said that he visited the scene immediately after the accident. Eyewitnesses told him that Nazmul Hasan was going from Daganbhuiyan to Feni, with a passenger behind him. Due to speeding, Nazmul lost control of the motorcycle and hit a pedestrian at Mollaghat and hit the road divider. The pedestrian Habizur died on the spot. Locals rescued the seriously injured motorcycle rider and sent him to Feni Sadar Hospital. Nazmul died on the way to the hospital. Police officials said the bodies have been handed over to the Feni Highway Police. The deceased Nazmul Hasan is an expatriate and Habizur Rahman is a businessman.
