    Two cars collide on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway today.

    One was killed in a three-car collision in dense fog on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway. Five others were injured.

    The accident happened around 6 am on Monday in the Kuchiamora area of ​​the Dhaka-Mawa highway. Hasara Highway Police Station OC Abdul Quader Jilani confirmed the matter. He said that a pickup truck hit a Dhaka-bound private car coming from Mawa at around 6 am. Later, while the two parties were talking, another freight truck came and hit them again.

    At that time, a woman named Panna Rani Das, 40, who got out of the private car, was crushed to death by the railing of the road. Five more people were injured. The injured were rescued from there later and sent to Srinagar Upazila Hospital for treatment. The vehicles that took part in the accident have been removed from the highway.

    Deputy Assistant Director of Munshiganj Fire Station Md. Shafiqul Islam said that due to dense fog, because of reckless speeding of vehicles on the Dhaka-bound lane of the expressway on the way from Mawa to Dhaka, the accident took place.

    Srinagar Fire Service Warehouse Inspector Abul Kalam Azad said, “Due to dense fog, three vehicles collided on the expressway. We started a rescue operation after receiving the information. The body of a woman has been recovered. The injured have been sent to the hospital.”

    He said that all the people of the private car were members of the same family. They went for a walk in the Mawa area at night. The collision occurred due to dense fog in the Kuchiamora area on the way back. All those in the private car, including the deceased Panna Rani Das, came from Brahmanbaria to visit their sister’s house in Dhaka’s Tatibazar.

    Two goods-laden trucks had collided in the same spot around 4 am on Sunday. Following which two passenger buses lost control and rammed each other at around 7:30 am. A number of people were injured in this incident. Around the same time, many others got injured as a pickup van lost control and ran over a private car.
