Two buses collide head-on in Santhia, 3 killed
A head-on collision occurred between a Shahjadpur Travels and a Maasranga bus at Sholabaria on the Pabna-Dhaka highway in Santhia upazila of Pabna at around 7 am on Tuesday (February 10). Locals said that 3 people were killed on the spot.
According to local sources, a Maasranga bus from Dhaka to Pabna and a Shahjadpur Travels bus collided head-on at Sholabaria today at around 7 am. The driver and assistant of the two buses were killed. In addition, the passengers of the two buses were seriously injured. Immediately after receiving the information, the Madhpur Highway Police Station and the Santhia Fire Service went to the spot and recovered the bodies and admitted the injured to the Pabna Medical Hospital.
It is learned that the body of one person is at the Madhpur Highway Police Station. The identities of none of the deceased were immediately known. Madhpur Highway Police Station OC Mostafizur Rahman said that efforts are underway to identify the bodies. Efforts are underway to remove the bus involved in the accident.
