Turkish Ambassador meets Mirza Fakhrul

Turkish Ambassador Ramis Sen met with BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. The meeting was held at the chairperson’s political office in Gulshan yesterday. BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid were present during the hour-long meeting.

After the meeting, Amir Khasru said that the interests of the two countries, including the Rohingya issue, trade and cultural exchanges were discussed. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s wife Emine Erdogan came to Dhaka within two weeks after the Rohingyas arrived in Bangladesh. No foreigner had come before her. That is why the country has a separate commitment to solving the Rohingya

problem. Stating that Turkey is working in some other areas, including a hospital in Cox’s Bazar, Khasru said, “We will all work internationally to solve this problem.”
