Trump-Xi meeting in Busan today
After a long six years, the heads of state of the world’s two superpowers, Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, are going to meet today. The presidents of the United States and China will meet in Busan, South Korea, at 11 am local time today, Thursday (October 30). Earlier, the two leaders last met in 2019.
This time, the agenda of the discussion includes tariffs, rare minerals, drug smuggling and agricultural issues. It is expected that the two largest economies will reach some kind of agreement on the issue of tariff war through the meeting. It is also expected that they may seek Beijing’s help in ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
