Trump will repeal the birthright citizenship law.
US President Donald Trump has vowed to end the automatic right to US citizenship at birth. He said he is willing to work with Democrats to help children who came to the United States as illegal immigrants.
In his first television interview since winning the election in November, Trump gave a recorded interview that aired on NBC on Friday. In it, Trump said he wants to repeal the birthright citizenship law through an executive order on immigration.
In addition, Trump announced on his first day in office next month that he would pardon those involved in the 2021 US Capitol riot. He said, “These people are living like hell.”
Trump said that after taking office on January 20, he would issue several executive orders on immigration, energy and the economy.
Although he indicated that he would not seek a judicial investigation into Biden, he said that his political opponents, especially the lawmakers who investigated the Capitol riot, should be sent to prison.
