Trump is considering seizing the Strait of Hormuz
US President Donald Trump is considering seizing the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. He said this in an interview with US media outlet CBS News on Tuesday (March 10).
Earlier, on Sunday (March 8), the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the elite branch of Iran’s defense force, said that the United States, Israel, European countries and their allies and supporters have been banned from passing through the international commercial waterway of the Strait of Hormuz.
However, there is no obstacle to the passage of ships from outside countries, that is, ships from countries that are not allies of the United States and Israel, through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump has said that the Strait of Hormuz is currently open. However, the White House is considering seizing it.
