Trump deploys two nuclear submarines in response to Russian threats
US President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines to “appropriate locations” in response to Russian threats. He himself announced this information in a post on Truth Social on Friday. The US president said that he took this step in response to former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s provocative statements. However, he did not specify where exactly the two submarines will be deployed. Trump said that measures have been taken to ensure that Medvedev’s foolish and provocative statements do not create an undesirable situation. Last Tuesday, Trump said that Russia has “10-12 days” to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine, and also threatened sanctions. Since then, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Medvedev has criticized Trump. The US Navy and the Pentagon have not agreed to comment on the issue.
