President-elect Donald Trump is blaming Democrats’ policies, not climate change, for the devastating wildfires in the US state of California. He has accused California Governor Gavin Newsom of various failures. One of these accusations is that Newsom is wasting water. The death toll from the wildfires that spread in Los Angeles last Tuesday has risen to seven. Local officials said that five people had already died. Two more have died.
