Trump assures Iran of end to killings

US President Donald Trump has said that he has been assured that the killing of anti-government protesters in Iran will stop. He said, “I have been assured that the killing of protesters in Iran has stopped.” Qatar-based news agency Al Jazeera reported this news in a report.
Meanwhile, Trump claimed that no protesters will be executed in the country. Important sources in Iran have given this assurance. Donald Trump made this claim on the Iran issue in response to questions from journalists on Wednesday (January 14). However, he did not completely rule out the possibility of a military attack on the country.
He said that Washington will take action based on which direction the situation turns. On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran has no plans to execute protesters.
In addition, Iran’s military is currently at the highest level of defensive readiness and is ready to respond harshly to any kind of aggression, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Finally, just hours after Trump’s demand, the Iranian government suspended the execution of Erfan Soltani, who had been arrested and sentenced to death for joining the anti-government movement.
