Truck set on fire in Shariatpur, 2 arrested

Mischievous people set a truck on fire on the expressway in front of the Padma Bridge in Shariatpur. Two people have been arrested in this incident. This morning, Thursday (November 13), traffic was stopped for two hours due to a road blockade one kilometer away from the Padma Bridge.
In the morning, Awami League leaders and activists gathered in the Naodoba area of ​​​​Jazira in Shariatpur for a prohibited activity. They blocked the road by exploding cocktails and burning tires. At that time, a truck was set on fire in the Tastarkandi area of ​​​​Naodoba. Later, two units of the fire service went to douse the fire. A one and a half kilometer long traffic jam was created.
Later, the police and locals took up positions on the road. After two hours, the situation normalized by 8 am today and Dhaka-bound traffic resumed. Meanwhile, a limited number of long-distance buses have been plying on the local roads of Shariatpur since morning.
