Train driver killed in Barcelona train crash

A passenger train has derailed in Spain again in two days, killing the train driver and injuring at least 37 passengers. British media outlet BBC News reported this information in a report on Wednesday (January 21).
According to officials, heavy rains fell in various parts of Spain on Tuesday (January 20). As a result, a containment wall collapsed on a train line near Barcelona. The train hit the wall and derailed. As a result, the driver died at the scene.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene and rescued the injured. However, although they were taken to hospital, five people are said to be in critical condition, authorities said. Last Sunday (January 18), a train traveling from Malaga to Madrid derailed and was hit by a train on the adjacent line, killing at least 42 people.
