Tragic accident on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, two Chhatra Dal leaders die

It is learnt that two people were killed in a truck accident in Abdullahpur area of ​​Keraniganj on Monday night (October 13) while returning home from Dhaka.
The deceased are Ahmed Roman (32), joint convener of Shibchar Municipality Chhatra Dal in Madaripur, and Mujibul Haque Durjoy (32).
It is learnt that Roman and Durjoy, two friends of Chhatra Dal leaders, went to Dhaka last Monday morning to repair their motorcycle. After repairing the motorcycle, they were returning to Shibchar on the motorcycle. At around 9:30 pm, the motorcycle ran over them from behind in Abdullahpur area of ​​Keraniganj, south of Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, and quickly left the scene. One died on the spot. The other died after being rescued by locals and taken to the hospital.
Hansara Highway Police Station visited the scene and recovered the bodies. When the family members reached the spot after receiving the news, the police completed the legal process that night and handed over the bodies to the families. The mourning began when the bodies of the deceased reached their respective homes.
Shibchar Upazila Chhatra Dal convener Imtiaz Ahmed Khan Turag said that the two deceased youths were his friends. Among them, Ahmed Roman is the joint convener of Shibchar Municipality Chhatra Dal and Durjoy is the presidential candidate of Panchchar Union Chhatra Dal. The funeral of the deceased Roman will be held at his house in Mridhakandi, Nalgoda at 10 am today, Tuesday, and the funeral of Mujibul Haque Durjoy will be held at Bahadurpur Pir Manzil ground after Zohar.
Shibchar Upazila Chhatra Dal has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of the two leaders in a road accident in a condolence message.
