Trade Fair Curtain Rises Today
The 29th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2025 is going to be held for the fourth time today at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BBC FEC) in Purbachal, Rupganj. The fair will be inaugurated by the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
The fair, a joint collaboration of the Ministry of Commerce and EPB, will be inaugurated by the Chief Advisor at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal at 10:30 am today (Wednesday). Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Vice-Chairman Md. Anwar Hossain will also be present during the inauguration ceremony.
According to the Export Promotion Bureau, this year’s trade fair will have 362 stalls and pavilions including 11 companies from 7 countries like India, Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong. The Uprising of July-August will be given priority in the Chattar of July, Chhatrish Chattar and the Youth Pavilion.
Initiations have been taken this year to organize seminars based on potential sectors or products at the fair. There will be a separate sourcing corner, electronics and furniture zone for the convenience of foreign entrepreneurs or companies. A technology corner and a seating corner for senior citizens have been created for the convenience of age-based visitors.
