Toronto in pictures: Thousands take to the streets against the massacre in Gaza
The people of Canada have erupted in protest against the massacre in Gaza. Thousands of people have taken to the streets in Toronto to protest for the starving Palestinians. They are mainly protesting against the Israeli blockade and the policy of cutting off food aid to Gaza. The protesters claim that the deliberate starvation of Gazans is a gross violation of international law and human rights. Many participants in the march carried placards and banners that read: ‘Starving children is not self-defense’ and ‘Immediate ceasefire, end the siege on Gaza’. A protest march against the killing of journalists in Palestine and the starvation of children in Gaza in downtown Toronto. A woman uses a cooking pan and spoon as a symbol of protest.
