Today is the 15th day of testimony against Sheikh Hasina, Kamal and three others

Today is the 15th day of testimony against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and three others in the case of crimes against humanity committed in July-August. The testimony will be held at the International Crimes Tribunal-1 today, Wednesday (September 10). Former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, who has been turned from an accused to a royal witness, was produced today. A total of 45 people, including the families of the martyrs, the injured, doctors and eyewitnesses, have testified in this case so far. All the witnesses highlighted the atrocities committed in the July coup and demanded justice for all those involved in the genocide. In addition, they highlighted Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun as the masterminds of all the incidents. Earlier, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Zakir Hossain recorded the testimony yesterday. He said that Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, who was an accused and a witness, gave his statement under Section 164 on March 24. He said that former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun voluntarily repented and gave his statement to the magistrate. Later, a doctor from Midford gave his statement. Earlier, on July 10, the tribunal ordered the initiation of trial by framing formal charges against Sheikh Hasina, Kamal and Mamun. Five charges of crimes against humanity were brought against them in this case.
