Tk 2 crore reward announced for beating India

Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Youth and Sports Advisor, has announced a Tk 2 crore bonus to the Bangladesh team for their historic win over India in the Asian Cup qualifiers. He made the announcement after defeating India 1-0 at the National Stadium on Tuesday (November 18).
Sheikh Morsalin scored the winning goal for the team yesterday. Hamza Dewan Chowdhury did all the other duties, but he did not score. Asif Mahmud enjoyed the Bangladesh game all day sitting on the field.
After the match, the sports advisor went to the Bangladesh dressing room and shared the joy with the players. He shared such a video on his verified Facebook page.
In it, the players were seen celebrating and shouting bonus bonus around Asif Mahmud. At that time, the sports advisor announced a Tk 2 crore bonus for the Bangladesh team. The advisor’s immediate announcement spread joy among the players.
In this regard, national team team manager Amer Khan said, “The advisor has announced a reward of two crore taka. The footballers are motivated by his announcement.” Earlier, the Youth and Sports Advisor had given a reward of one and a half crore taka to the women’s football team in two installments. Last year, Rituparna Chakma and Monika Chakma received one crore taka for becoming the SAFF champion and five lakh taka for qualifying for the Asia Cup. This time, the award has been announced for the boys’ national football team. This is Bangladesh’s first win in an international competition this year. Bangladesh has won two out of eight matches played in 2025. Earlier, Hamza Chowdhury defeated Bhutan in a friendly match in June.
