Ticket sales for the second day of Eid train journey begin

To ensure smooth travel for passengers returning home on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the second day of advance train ticket sales is today, Wednesday (March 4). Seat tickets for the train on March 14 will be available today. Like every time, seven-day advance tickets for intercity trains are being sold through a special system. Bangladesh Railway is selling 100% of the tickets online for the convenience of passengers.
The online ticket sales have started from 8 am. Seat tickets for all intercity trains in the western zone of the railway will be available. On the other hand, advance tickets for all intercity trains in the eastern zone will be sold from 2 pm. This decision was taken recently at a preparatory meeting for the special train journey on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at the Rail Bhaban in the capital.
According to the decision of the railway, tickets for March 13 were sold on March 3. In addition, tickets for March 15 will be sold on March 5, tickets for March 16 on March 6, tickets for March 17 on March 7, tickets for March 18 on March 8 and tickets for March 19 on March 9.
It has also been decided that tickets for March 20, 21 and 22 will be sold subject to moon sighting. On the request of passengers, 25 percent of the standing tickets for non-AC coaches can be collected from the starting station before the start of the journey.
A passenger can purchase advance tickets only once for the Eid journey. In this case, a maximum of four seats can be collected. No tickets will be refunded.
