Three hours of suffering due to passengers being put on the wrong plane

Last Friday (September 20), passengers were taken from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Doha, Qatar on Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-325. However, for mysterious reasons, 272 passengers were first put on flight BG-337 on the Madinah route. After running on the runway for 15 minutes, the plane returned due to a mechanical fault.
The passengers suffered for more than 3 hours in the incident. Although there was a commotion at the airport over the matter, officials of the concerned departments are blaming each other. The operations department is blaming the engineering department, and vice versa.
A Biman official said that the rules for changing planes were not followed, passengers were put on another plane without permission. Civil aviation expert Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Mafidur Rahman said that such irresponsibility is harmful to international security and the country’s image.
The flight was transferred to the scheduled plane after 9 pm and departed for Doha. The exact cause and perpetrator of the incident are still unclear.
