There is no value in speaking while fleeing abroad—Home Affairs Advisor
For those who are fleeing abroad and threatening to sabotage the elections, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, if they had the courage, they would have come to the country and given speeches. Those who have fled to other places. Thieves can say a lot by fleeing from there. If they have the courage, then let them come inside the country, come and seek legal refuge. There is no value in speaking while fleeing to other countries. He said this in response to questions from journalists after the closing parade at the BGB Training Center in Baitul Izzat, Satkania on Wednesday (January 14) afternoon.
The Home Affairs Advisor said, the Arakan Army has occupied the Bangladesh-Myanmar border, which is creating problems for us. We are in touch with the Myanmar government. If anything happens here (on the border), we will protest to the government. A few days ago, a small child of ours was also injured in a mortar attack. He has already been brought to Dhaka. Sometimes their army and the Arakan Army create trouble among themselves, at that time one or two bullets also come towards us. That is why we protested, so that this does not happen in the future, we are also making all kinds of preparations. Earlier, in the closing parade, he said that the BGB is fully prepared to hold the elections in a peaceful and festive atmosphere. 37 thousand members of the force will be deployed in 61 districts of the country. He also said that this time, the highest number of 3 thousand 23 new soldiers have joined in one batch in the history of this force. Out of which 2 thousand 950 are men and 73 are women.
