    The price of gold has decreased.

    The price of gold has decreased in the country’s market. The price of the best quality or 22-carat gold has been reduced by 1,038 taka to 1,50,862 taka.

    This information was given in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee, on Saturday. The new price will be effective from tomorrow, Sunday.

    According to the new price, the price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at 1,44,04 taka, 18-carat gold at 1,23,428 taka and traditional gold at 1,1641 taka.

    Although the price of gold has been reduced, the price of silver has remained unchanged. A 22-carat bhori is being sold for 2,578 taka, a 21-carat bhori for 2,449 taka, a 18-carat bhori for 2,111 taka and a traditional bhori for 1,586 taka.

    Earlier, the price of gold was reduced on February 23, February 27 and March 1. Then, an announcement was made to increase the price of gold on March 5. This time, the price of gold has been adjusted 13 times this year. Where the price has been increased 9 times, and reduced only four times.
