The main accused in Joy’s murder case and his brother are in jail after being arrested

A court has ordered to send Al Amin and his brother Akash, the main accused in the controversial case filed in the stabbing death of Chhatra Dal activist and HSC examinee Jabed Umar Joy (19) in Panchagarh, to jail. On Saturday (August 16), Judge Mohammad Nuruzzaman of the Panchagarh Chief Judicial Magistrate Court ordered to send them to the district jail at around 11 pm. They were brought from Chittagong that day and presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Panchagarh at around 8 pm. Earlier, they were arrested from Goalpara area of Chittagong on August 15. Al Amin and Akash are sons of Khalilur Rahman of Notunbasti (Rajnagar) area. Police have arrested the main accused Al Amin and his brother Akash from Chittagong in the case filed in the case of the public stabbing of Chhatra Dal activist and HSC examinee Jabed Umar Joy (19) in the Cinema Hall Market area of the district town on the night of August 6 (Wednesday). The deceased Joy is the son of Zahirul Haque of the old camp area of Panchagarh Municipality. He had appeared for the HSC examination this year from Panchagarh Barrister Zamir Uddin Sarkar Collegiate Institute. Along with his studies, he worked as a manager at the preliminary results room in the Kadamtala area of the district town. At the same time, he was a member of Ward No. 2 Chhatra Dal of the municipality. It is learned that Faraz Islam Al Amin stabbed Jabed Umar Joy with his colleagues in the Cinema Hall Market area of the city due to a previous enmity. Later, locals quickly rescued Joy and took him to Panchagarh Adhikari Sadar Hospital. Later, when his condition did not improve, he died on the way to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital. After the discussed murder incident, on Friday (August 8) afternoon, the elder brother of the deceased Joy, Ashraf Ali, filed a case with Panchagarh Sadar Police Station, naming 8 people and naming 10 to 15 unknown people as accused. After that, the police conducted a drive and arrested 3 unknown and registered people. After 9 days of the absconding incident, the police have arrested 2 people including the main accused. Panchagarh Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman Munshi confirmed the arrest of 5 people so far. The Superintendent of Police told Soyo Sangbad that the police have been conducting a drive to arrest the accused since the incident. Meanwhile, the 3 unknown and registered accused were arrested after the case. The main accused and his brother were arrested by the police even after they were in hiding.
