‘The list of issues agreed upon in the initial stage will be sent to the parties today’

The list of issues agreed upon in the initial stage will be sent to all political parties today, said Consensus Commission Vice-Chairman Dr. Ali Riaz. He said this during the break of the commission’s meeting at the Foreign Service Academy on Wednesday (July 30) afternoon. He said that the decisions on the issues agreed upon will be announced by tomorrow. All parties have agreed on expanding the fundamental rights of citizens. Meanwhile, today’s meeting will discuss women’s representation in parliament, the powers and responsibilities of the President, the presidential election method, the formation of the upper house and the method of electing members, the Public Service Commission, the Anti-Corruption Commission, the Auditor General and Controller and the Ombudsman.
