The GDP rate of the country has decreased
In the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25, the growth rate of Bangladesh’s gross domestic product (GDP) decreased to 3.91 percent. The GDP growth rate in April-June of the last financial year was 88.88 percent. Factory output stood at 3.98 percent in the April-June quarter of FY2024-25, as against 10.16 percent a year ago.
This information has been revealed in the updated data of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) on Monday.
In the fourth quarter of the financial year 2023-24, the growth of the agricultural sector has decreased to 5.27 percent. In the same period of the financial year 2022-23, the growth in agriculture sector was 6.55 percent.
In the fourth quarter of the financial year 2023-24, the growth of the industrial sector has decreased by 3.98 percent. In the same period of the previous financial year 2022-23, the industrial sector had 10.16 percent.
Apart from this, the growth of the service sector in the last quarter of the last fiscal year was 3.67 percent, which was 4.82 percent in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2022-23.
