The game of conspiracy has started again in the country: Mirza Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “The game of conspiracy has started again in the country.” He made this remark while speaking as a special guest at a discussion meeting organized to mark the 46th founding anniversary of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at the Ramna Engineers Institution of Bangladesh (IEB) auditorium in the capital on Wednesday evening.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “Today, unfortunately, the game of conspiracy has started again in Bangladesh. Which has happened many times in the past. Conspiracies have started again at home and abroad regarding Bangladesh. As a result of which we have lost martyr President Ziaur Rahman, national leader Begum Khaleda Zia had to spend six years in prison, as a result of which Tarique Rahman has to stay abroad till now. This conspiracy has started again.’
The BNP Secretary General said, ‘We want to say in very clear language – the people of Bangladesh will never let their conspiracy succeed. There have been many attempts to break the BNP. It has never been possible to break it. There have also been attempts during the last so-called elections. They could not remove two people except one. Because it is the politics of the people of this country, the politics of BNP. What is that politics? The main foundation of BNP’s politics is the independence, sovereignty and democracy of the country.
He said, ‘In the name of reform, we cannot allow anything to happen that will disrupt democracy. I would like to appeal to the government – please, without further delay, arrange an election very soon and free the people of Bangladesh from the crisis.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, ‘We formed the interim government by expelling fascism. We hope that the interim government will carry out the minimum reforms required, that is, the reforms related to our elections, creating a level playing field, fixing the administrative machinery, reforming the judiciary and making minimum economic reforms. Through that, hold an election that will be acceptable to everyone.’
The BNP Secretary General told the Chhatra Dal leaders and activists, “Chhatra Dal is our vanguard. They now have to do knowledge-based politics. Most needed is that we have to wage cyber war. We have to increase our position on social media. If we cannot do this, then we will lose this war. Increase your activity on social media against false propaganda. Conspiracies are being hatched at home and abroad; it is our responsibility to stand before them with intellect and intelligence’.
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman joined virtually in the discussion meeting chaired by Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib and moderated by General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, and delivered the speech as the chief guest. Former presidents and general secretaries of Chhatra Dal, including Shamsuzzaman Dudu, Asaduzzaman Ripon, Amanullah Aman, Khairul Kabir, Nazimuddin Alam, Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie, Azizul Bari Helal, Sultan Salauddin Tuku, Abdul Quader Bhuiyan Tuku, Habibur Rashid Habib, BNP Student Affairs Secretary Rakibul Islam Bakul, also spoke at the event.
