The country will move forward on the right path only through elections: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that BNP is hopeful that the interim government will organize elections in February. The country will move forward on the right path only through elections. He told reporters after performing the Ziarat at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) Shrine on Monday (July 7) morning. BNP Secretary General UK will join a prayer meeting for the recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and the good health of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman at the initiative of BNP President and Advisor to BNP Chairperson MA Malik. Besides, in the afternoon, Sylhet District BNP will join a program in honor of all the martyred family members of Sylhet district who were victims of the fascist Awami League’s hellish massacre in the July-August mass uprising. He will be present as the chief guest at these programs. BNP central leaders will be special guests. Earlier, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir arrived in Sylhet on a flight at 9:25 am on Monday. After leaving the airport, he went to visit the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA). Later, he visited the shrine of Hazrat Shahparan (RA).
