The chief advisor said that the second phase of the government has begun, this time the goal is fair and acceptable elections.

Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, the second chapter of the government has begun after August 5. The main goal of the government in the second chapter is to hold fair, impartial and acceptable elections in a festive atmosphere. Today, Thursday (August 7), Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus chaired a meeting of the Advisory Council at the Secretariat. Chief Advisor’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam told reporters about this later. Shafiqul Alam said, the interim government wants to complete all the reforms by December. Out of 121 recommendations, 16 have been implemented. Moreover, 85 are on the way to implementation, 10 have been partially implemented. Whether or not 10 more are implementable will be discussed. He also said, Sheikh Hasina will be brought back and faced trial. The government will also ensure that justice is served. Meanwhile, the Advisory Council meeting congratulated Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashiruddin for his expertise in negotiating the tariff issue with the United States. The Advisory Council meeting also decided to introduce an award in the name of Mehreen Chowdhury, a teacher who died in the Milestone tragedy.
