The amount of money received by Barrister Fuad in just three days

Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad, General Secretary of Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party, is contesting the upcoming 13th parliamentary election from Barisal-3 (Muladi-Babuganj) constituency. In three days, he has received 39 lakh 66 thousand 556 taka from voters and well-wishers seeking financial assistance for election expenses. He gave this information on his social media Facebook page on Wednesday (January 7) night.
Based on the number of voters, his election expenditure limit for this constituency is 33 lakh 21 thousand 10 taka. Barrister Fuad expressed gratitude to those who sent money from home and abroad. He announced full cooperation if the Election Commission or any other financial regulatory agency of the government wants to conduct an audit.
In a Facebook post, Barrister Fuad said that till the night of January 7, he had received 19 lakh 23 thousand 552 taka in bKash, 2 lakh 35 thousand 56 taka in cash and 18 lakh 7 thousand 948 taka in bank account. A total of 39 lakh 66 thousand 556 taka in donations was received. Barrister Fuad also said that the number of voters in his constituency Muladi and Babuganj upazilas is 3 lakh 32 thousand 101. According to the rules of the Election Commission, the spending limit is 33 lakh 21 thousand ten taka per person. A decision will be taken on the advice of the Election Commission regarding additional donations. In the interest of transparency, all documents related to donations will be audited, published and submitted to the Election Commission until the election day. If the Election Commission or any other financial regulatory agency of the government wants to conduct an audit, all cooperation will be provided.
