Term of 6 Reform Commissions has been extended

The government has extended the tenure of six reform commissions formed at different times until February 15. The Cabinet Division issued six separate notifications in this regard on Monday.

The tenure of the Electoral Reform Commission, Police Administration Reform Commission, Judiciary Reform Commission, Anti-Corruption Reform Commission, Public Administration Reform Commission and Constitution Reform Commission has been extended.

Earlier, the tenure of the Judiciary Reform Commission and Public Administration Reform Commission was extended until January 31.

The Constitution, Electoral System, Anti-Corruption Commission and Police Reform Commission have already submitted their reports. However, they have been given additional time to decide on their priorities.

Incidentally, after coming to power in the July mass uprising, the interim government took initiatives for reforms in various sectors. A total of 11 commissions have been formed for this purpose.
