Teenage girl arrested on child rape charges

A 7-year-old boy has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in Rajbari Sadar Upazila. Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy in this incident. He was sent to court on Friday (October 31). The incident took place in Aladipur village of Alipur union of the upazila last Wednesday. Rajbari Additional Superintendent of Police Tapas Kumar Pal confirmed the matter to us this Saturday morning.
Police said that the child’s mother has filed a rape case under Section 9(1) of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, 2000 (Amendment 2003) with the Rajbari Sadar Police Station. According to the police case records, on Wednesday (October 29) afternoon, the accused teenage girl forcibly took the child to a tin shed next to her house and raped her.
The child’s mother, the plaintiff in the case, said that the girl suddenly started crying. Later, when she saw blood on her pants and asked, she said that he lured her into the house and did a terrible thing. After that, I took the girl to the hospital. When the matter was reported to the police station, the police arrested the boy. I want proper justice for the injustice done to my daughter. Rajbari Additional Superintendent of Police Tapas Kumar Pal said, “The child’s mother has filed a case. Based on her complaint, the accused has been arrested and sent to court.”
