Teacher’s body found floating in river

Police have recovered the body of a school teacher named Tasmin Ara Naz (37) from the Ghaghat river in Gaibandha Sadar upazila. She was a teacher at Gaibandha NH Modern Government Primary School. Locals found her body floating in the Ghaghat river in Purba Komronai Miapar of the upazila on Tuesday (September 16) morning. Police recovered her body from the spot around noon after receiving this information. Locals said that Tasmin Ara Naz is the niece of Purba Komronai Mia’s Amjad Mia. She joined NH Modern Government Primary School from Gaibandha Asaduzzaman Government Primary School a few days ago. Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gaibandha Sadar Police Station Shahinur Islam said, “The teacher’s body has been recovered and sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy. Details will be known after receiving the investigation report.”
