Tarique Rahman urges people to stand by those affected by plane crash

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman expressed deep shock over the crash of an Air Force training plane at the Milestone College campus in Uttara, the capital. He called on BNP leaders and activists at all levels to stand by the injured and affected. In a post on social media Facebook on Monday (July 21) afternoon, he wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the news of the horrific plane crash at Milestone College. It is in no way desirable for students to face such a tragic situation in a safe educational institution.” He wrote, “My sincere prayers are with the students injured and mentally disturbed in this heartbreaking incident. I urge BNP leaders and activists at all levels, especially Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and medical professionals, to quickly go to the accident site and stand by the injured and affected.” Tareque Rahman said, “We all have to come forward unitedly to deal with this disastrous situation. Because, together we are part of this nation – a country built on the basis of humanity and compassion. A Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training aircraft crashed on the Milestone School and College campus at 1:18 pm on Monday. Police have so far recovered one body from the incident.
