Tarique Rahman to attend press conference in the afternoon

After achieving an absolute majority in the 13th National Parliament election, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is coming to the press conference. This post-election press conference will be held at the ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital today, Saturday (February 14) at 3 pm.
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the party’s media cell, confirmed the matter. He said that BNP will give a formal response to the election at the press conference. Party Chairman Tarique Rahman will address the conference. Party sources said that Tarique Rahman will give important instructions regarding the election results, preparations for government formation, possible alliance politics and future action plans.
It is worth noting that the 13th National Parliament election and the national referendum on constitutional reforms were held in a festive atmosphere across the country last Thursday (February 12). The Election Commission announced the final results of 297 seats on Friday afternoon. Then it published the gazette at night. According to EC data, the BNP alliance won 212 seats in the parliamentary election. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami alliance won 77 seats. Independent candidates and other parties won the remaining seats.
