Tarique Rahman asks for prayers for his mother
Son Tarique Rahman has sought prayers for the health of mother Khaleda Zia. On Friday, the BNP acting chairman went to visit his mother at the London Clinic, a specialized hospital in Central London, along with his wife.
In response to questions from journalists waiting at the entrance of the hospital, he did not comment other than seeking prayers for his mother.
Tarique Rahman said, “When he talked about his mother, it was natural – I will tell the countrymen only one thing, she is a national leader. As a son, I will tell the countrymen to pray for her.”
Meanwhile, Khaleda Zia’s medical board was supposed to be convened by the night. Along with Tarique Rahman and Zubaida Rahman, the board was supposed to include doctors from the London Clinic and Bangladesh. It is learned that doctors from Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States will also join virtually.
Earlier, Khaleda Zia’s personal physician Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain had said that all the reports of the BNP Chairperson would be available by January 17.
Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various physical ailments including liver cirrhosis, kidney, diabetes, arthritis for a long time. She is undergoing treatment at the London Clinic in the UK.
