Students of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) protest against the order to leave the hall

Students of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) are protesting by staying on the campus, defying the order to leave the hall. On Monday (September 1) morning, the students took a stand in front of the university’s KR Market. At that time, they demanded the identification of the attackers and a proper investigation into the incident. However, some students left the hall for security reasons. Earlier, on Sunday, students blocked about 227 teachers of the Academic Council, including the Vice-Chancellor, at the Zainul Abedin Auditorium on the campus, demanding a combined degree. At one point, a group attacked the protesting students with sticks. However, the identity of the attackers has not yet been identified. An outsider threw Jamuna TV’s camera to hide his identity. Several students were injured in the attack. Later, the university was closed indefinitely and students were ordered to leave the hall by 9 am on Monday. Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry have been protesting for almost a month demanding a combined degree. The students have been demanding a combined degree from the administration by merging the degrees of the two faculties.
