Student dies after falling from sixth floor of school in Tangail

A ninth-grade student died after falling from the sixth floor of the academic building of Shaheed Cadet School in Sabalia area of ​​Nagail town. The incident has created concern among students and parents.
Student Muhidul Islam Lamit was seriously injured after falling from the six-story building of the school on Tuesday (March 10) morning. Later, the school’s on-duty teachers took him to Tangail General Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
The deceased student’s grandfather and uncle have alleged that the accident occurred due to the negligence and lack of proper supervision of the teachers. They have demanded a proper investigation into the incident and action against those responsible.
In this regard, Shaheed Cadet School Chairman Shahidul Islam said, the incident is very sad. An investigation is being conducted to find out how it happened. Necessary action will be taken after investigating the matter. Tangail Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ruhul Amin said, “We have come to know about the student’s death. The body has been kept in the morgue.” Necessary legal action will be taken after the autopsy.
