Starlink has started working with Bangladeshi companies
Several Bangladeshi organizations are working as partners with US telecom giant Starlink to help set up ground earth stations in Bangladesh. This information was confirmed by Faiz Ahmed Tayyab, Special Assistant to the Principal Advisor on Telecommunications and Information Technology, on Saturday.
He said that a Starlink delegation is currently visiting Bangladesh. During this visit, agreements have been signed with various Bangladeshi organizations to cooperate in launching Starlink internet services in Bangladesh.
Faiz Ahmed Tayyab said that these cooperation agreements have been signed for activities such as land allocation, construction assistance and infrastructure maintenance. The Starlink team has identified some specific locations for this work. Among them, Starlink is considering using the own properties of some Bangladeshi organizations and in some cases, land in Hi-Tech Parks.
He said, “Starlink will ensure reliable and high-speed internet in Bangladesh, whether in urban or remote areas, in the northern region or on the coast, free from load shedding or natural disasters.”
