Sit on the street with a begging bowl instead of asking for money: Rafiqul
Jamaat Islami Central Assistant Secretary General and newly elected MP Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan said, sit on the street with a begging bowl instead of asking for money from bus, truck, auto-rickshaw and van drivers. The people of this country do not like extortion. To stop extortion, the laws of the Quran must be implemented.
He said these things as the chief guest at a discussion meeting and iftar mahfil organized by the Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Foundation at Ullapara Kamil Madrasa ground on Tuesday (March 3) evening.
Rafiqul Islam Khan said, all owners and workers must work together to implement the ideals of the Prophet (PBUH). The workers must be paid their dues before their sweat dries. The contribution of workers to the development of this country is immense. Therefore, their appreciation and dignity must be ensured.
The event, chaired by the president of the organizing organization, Babul Akhtar, and moderated by General Secretary Abdul Malek, was attended as special guests by Upazila Jamaat Ameer Professor Shahjahan Ali, former Ameer of the organization Abdus Samad Mia, Secretary Khairul Islam, Office Secretary Abdul Robi, Municipal Jamaat Ameer Abdul Karim, and Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Foundation Salanga Thana branch president Ayub Ali.
