SI’s body found hanging at CID training center
The hanging body of a police sub-inspector (SI) named Aftab Uddin Rigyan has been recovered from the Detective Training School (DTS) run by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police in Paltan, the capital. The body was recovered around 11 am today, Wednesday (December 10).
Paltan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mustafa Kamal Khan confirmed the matter to us this afternoon (December 10). He said that the deceased is 37 years old. Earlier, his posting was in Moulvibazar. He came to Dhaka after August 5.
Stating that Aftab committed suicide, Mustafa Kamal Khan said, it could be due to family reasons or some other reason. We will inform you after the investigation. Aftab Uddin Rigyan was working in the Cyber and Special Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB). The body is being taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
