Siraj Uddin Mia has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government.
The contract and foreign recruitment wing of the Ministry of Public Administration has issued a notification appointing him today.
It is said in the notification, Siraj Uddin Miah has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Principal Adviser for a period of 2 years on the condition of relinquishing other work relationships.
The notification also mentions that other terms of appointment will be determined by the contract.
Siraj Uddin Mia completed his Masters in Economics from Chittagong University. He is a 1982 BCS (Administration) cadre officer.
He was promoted to Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in 2009 while serving as Joint Secretary. He later retired in 2016. He wrote a book called Siraj Uddin Sathi. He has written 32 books on various topics including bureaucracy, liberation war, social evolution, religious thought, economics.
