Shot dead Hadi: Artificial respiration is underway in the ICU
Inquilab Manch spokesperson Osman Hadi’s condition is still critical. He is under close observation at Evercare Hospital. Earlier, this potential independent MP candidate from Dhaka-8 constituency was seriously injured in a gunfight with miscreants on Friday (December 13).
Regarding Hadi’s latest condition, Dr. Zahid Raihan, head of the neurosurgery department at Dhaka Medical College, said, Hadi’s condition is very bad. This means that he showed ‘signs of life’ even after being brought to the hospital. He added, even during the operation, our anesthesia experts said that he was trying. This means that he was able to breathe on his own.
Dr. Zahid Raihan added, Hadi had two cardiac arrests and suffered a lot of bleeding during the operation. He said, he also started bleeding from his nose and mouth. We do not have any hope for the patient. But he is still alive, the rest is Allah’s will. He said Osman Hadi’s relatives wanted to take him to Evercare Hospital for advanced ICU support.
Doctors have assumed that the bullet entered Osman Hadi’s head from one side and exited from the other, Dr. Zahid said, “Even if the bullet is inside, we assume it is inside the brain. It is in the very center of the brain. There is no need to go there, it was not done. But the bullet came out. It entered from one side and exited from the other side. However, some pieces (parts) of the bullet remained inside the brain. When we did the surgery, we found some pieces. We collected them, very small pieces.
Yesterday afternoon, terrorists shot Osman Hadi in the head while he was driving an autorickshaw in Bijoynagar in the capital. After that, he underwent emergency surgery at Dhaka Medical College. Then he was put on life support. Later, on the family’s decision, Osman Hadi was transferred from life support at Dhaka Medical College to Evercare Hospital.”
