Shooting at Osman Hadi a blow to the chest of the uprising – Sarjis Alam

National Citizens Party (NCP) Northern Region Chief Organizer Sarjis Alam said that the shooting at Sharif Osman Hadi’s head on December 12, 2025 after the 2024 uprising was not only to kill him, but it was also a blow to the chest of the uprising against the fascist forces in Bangladesh. He also said that the attack was carried out to intimidate those who spoke against Indian domination.
Sarjis Alam said these things while participating in a protest march and rally organized in Panchagarh on Friday (December 12) night to protest the attack on Sharif Osman Hadi. Panchagarh District Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Iqbal Hossain, NCP Sadar Upazila Coordinator Tanbirul Bari Nayan, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Coordinator Fazle Rabbi, Mozahar Islam Selim, along with leaders and activists of various political parties in the district, students and members of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement were present at the rally.
Sarjis alleged in his speech that since the coup, people from different levels responsible for changing the country are giving an opportunity to fascist miscreants. He said that through this firing, those who want to conspire in Bangladesh, disrupt democratic progress and thwart the election-centric situation – this is the game of their agents. By shooting Hadi, a new chapter in that game has begun.
He also said that we are not only facing an election fight, but also a fight to save the existence of Bangladesh. Everyone must unite against those who are trying to destroy Bangladesh again. Sarjis claimed that in the last few months, many people have been systematically infiltrated through the border with the aim of creating instability. In his words, those who fought with their blood and lives in July will come together again when a crisis arises – that is why efforts are being made to destroy our unity.
He said that the only task now is to take to the field to arrest all Awami terrorists and saboteurs in the future Bangladesh. Addressing the Home Affairs Advisor, Sarjis said, it is not possible to restore peace in the country by sheltering murderers through looting. If you say one thing during the day and another at night, you will never be able to hold fair elections. We want stability, peace and democratic transition in Bangladesh – for this, firm decisions need to be taken.
