Sheikh Hasina makes ‘explosive claim’ about Dr Yunus.

Sheikh Hasina has blamed the interim government led by Dr Muhammad Yunus for the current situation in Bangladesh, focusing on the arrest of Bangladesh Sammilit Sanatani Jagran Jote spokesperson and Pundarik Dham principal Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari. At that time, she called Dr Yunus the ‘mastermind of genocide’ and claimed, ‘The current ruler is guilty of the attacks on temples and churches in Bangladesh.’

Recently, she made these remarks while participating virtually in an Awami League rally in New York, America. At that time, the former prime minister claimed that there was a conspiracy to eliminate her like her father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Hasina condemned the attacks on minority communities, religious places and religious organization ISKCON in Bangladesh. She said, ‘Today, charges of genocide have been brought against me. But in reality, Muhammad Yunus was the one who committed the massacre through a well-planned plan with the student coordinators. They are the masterminds.’

‘Even Tarique Rahman (former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s son and BNP leader) said from London that if the deaths continue, the government will not survive,’ Hasina added.

At that time, the former Prime Minister also explained the reason for resigning from the post of Prime Minister and leaving Dhaka for Delhi. She said, ‘When people were being killed indiscriminately, I decided to leave the country. I did not need to be in power. If the security personnel had opened fire, many people would have died in Ganabhaban. I did not want that.’

She also said, ‘An armed crowd was let loose in Ganabhaban. Like my father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a plan was hatched to kill me. In that situation, I left within 25-30 minutes. I told the security personnel not to open fire.’

It is worth noting that Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister of Bangladesh on August 5 and left the country due to public protests arising from the student movement against discrimination. The former Prime Minister has been staying in India since then.
