Schools and colleges have 11 consecutive days off in this month

Schools and colleges will be closed for 9 days on the occasion of Autumn Durga Puja, Fateha-e-Yazdaham, Lakshmi Puja and Prabarana Purnima. However, including weekends, the holiday will be 11 days.

According to the annual calendar of the Ministry of Education, the autumn Durga Puja holiday will start from October 9. This holiday will continue till October 17 (Thursday). However, since the next two days are Friday and Saturday, the educational institution will open on October 20. Among them, Vijaya Dasami holiday is on October 13, Fateha-e-Yazdaham holiday is on October 15, Lakshmi Puja and Prabarana Purnima holiday is on October 16.
