Schoolgirl murdered by slitting throat in Banasree

A student named Fatema Akter Lilly (17) was murdered by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon in Banasree, the capital. The deceased Lilly was a class 10 student of the local Radiant School. Dhaka’s Khilgaon police station confirmed the murder.
The deceased’s elder sister Shobha said that she had gone to the gym from home at around 1:30 pm yesterday (January 10). When she returned home, she found her younger sister Lilly lying curled up. At first, she thought she had suffered a head injury, but later she removed her hijab and saw that a rope had been tied around her neck and her throat had been slit.
Later, Lilly was taken to the hospital. The police recovered her body from there. According to family sources, the deceased Lilly lived with her family in a rented house in Pritam Villa, Dakshin Banasree, Khilgaon police station. Their village home is in Lakhai police station of Habiganj district.
