Schoolgirl Murder in Banasree: Suspected Hotel Worker Milon Arrested

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a suspected hotel worker Milon in the murder of schoolgirl Fatema Akter Lilly (17) in Banasree in the capital. This information was given by the RAB headquarters in a message on Monday (January 12) morning.
It is learned that Milon was arrested in a joint operation by RAB-3 and RAB-6 in the Bagerhat Sadar Police Station area. Earlier, the girl was killed by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon on January 10. The deceased Lilly was a class 10 student of the local Radiant School.
The deceased’s elder sister Shobha said that on January 10, she left home for the gym at around 1:30 pm. When she returned home, she found her younger sister Lilly lying curled up. At first she thought she had been hit in the head, but later she took off her hijab and saw that a rope was wrapped around her neck and her throat was cut.
