Schoolgirl found hanging in Nilphamari

Police have recovered the hanging body of a class 8 schoolgirl in Nilphamari. Police recovered the body from her house in Dhulia Para of Tupamari Union in Sadar Upazila on Tuesday (August 19) afternoon. The deceased schoolgirl, Anamika Roy (14), is the daughter of Sri Aurobindo Chandra Roy of the area. She was a class 8 student of Shaheed Zia Girls High School. Tupamari UP Chairman Md. Machirat Ali Shah confirmed the matter and said that it is believed that the girl committed suicide. However, the exact reason is not yet known. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nilphamari Sadar Police Station M.R. Sayeed said that after receiving the information, the police recovered the body from the scene and took it to the police station. After the autopsy, the body will be handed over to the relatives. A case of accidental death has been filed in this incident.
