School holiday schedule in Bangladesh for Ramadan 2026

The Ministry of Education has fixed the holiday schedule for primary and secondary schools in the country for the 2026 academic year on the occasion of the holy Ramadan. According to the revised holiday schedule, all government and private schools in the country will be closed from today, February 19, 2026, to March 26, 2026.
According to sources in the Ministry of Education, this decision has been taken considering the religious practices and family time of students during the month of Ramadan. At the same time, the government holidays of Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day are also included in this period.
After the holiday, class activities in schools are scheduled to resume from March 27, 2026. However, due to weekly holidays, regular classes may start in some institutions from March 28. The ministry said that educational institutions have been instructed to adjust academic activities according to the new holiday schedule.
